This year’s National Tree Planting Day was held at the Chief’s Palace on June 7th 2024. The Chief together with his cabinet joined the Municipal Assembly’s staff who were accompanied by staff of other institutions like the Forestry Commission, police and immigration service. Assistant Director to the Assembly, Mr. Joseph Pumpuni spoke on behalf of the Coordinating Director and Municipal Chief Executive who had attended an equally important meeting elsewhere, expressing their interest in Greening the Municipality and urged all to do same in their various spaces. The Chief and leader of the Bono Regional House of Chiefs, Nana Agyemang Badu II also spoke on his appreciation for all who engaged in the activity and welcomed all to view the progress and growth of the trees in few months to come.
