The MCE and Coordinating Director inspected the various stations where food vendors are being screened. This exercise takes place yearly. Food vendors are screened for communicable diseases like Hepatitis and also registered. If a vendor is positive, he or she is referred to a hospital and his or her operation temporarily halted until treatment is given or is put on medication to suppress the viral load. As this is a very important exercise for the health and well being of citizens who purchase foods prepared by vendors, the MCE and Director took an inspective tour on the last day of the exercise.
